905nm Laser Rangefinder Module 2km SF-DYA09C

The SF-DYA09C Micro Laser Rangefinder Module is a compact, high-performance distance measurement solution designed for integration into advanced systems. With a 905nm eye-safe laser, it delivers up to 2000m range, ±1m accuracy (≤400m), and operates in extreme temperatures (-20°C to +60°C). Weighing just 13g and measuring 26.5x25x16mm, it’s engineered for seamless integration.

Key Selling Points

  • Ultra-Compact Design: Smallest-in-class footprint for space-constrained applications.
  • High Accuracy: ±1m precision (≤400m), ideal for critical measurements.
  • Eye-Safe & Low Power: 905nm Class 1 laser (IEC 60825 compliant) with ≤1W average consumption.
  • Robust Performance: Operates in harsh environments (-20°C to +60°C).
  • Easy Integration: TTL serial interface with simple command protocols.

Applications

  • Autonomous drones & robotics
  • Industrial automation & AGVs
  • Security systems & smart traffic
  • Surveying & 3D mapping
  • Automotive ADAS prototyping

How It Works

Send single/continuous measurement commands via TTL (115200 baud rate). Returns real-time distance data (hex format). Includes low-power standby mode.

Electrical Interface

a) Power Supply Voltage: 3V to 5V;
b) Average Power Consumption: ≤1W;
c) The host device connects to the rangefinder via the 06SUR-32S connector(host side) and SM06B-SURS-TF connector (rangefinder side) for interface testing. Pin definitions for the rangefinder’s power and communication port are listed in Table, with Pin 1 location shown in Figure .

Table : Rangefinder Power/Communication Port Pin Definitions

Pin Definition Label Electrical Characteristics Signal Direction
1 VIN- Negative power input Power supply
2 VIN+ Positive power input Power supply
3 GND Serial port ground Communication ground
4 UART_TX TTL_3.3V output Transmit (TX)
5 UART_RX TTL_3.3V input Receive (RX)
6 UART_ON Power control: Floating/low = OFF, High = ON Control signal

Notes:

  • UART_ON: Controls power state. Leave floating or pull low to disable power; pull high to enable.
  • All TTL signals operate at 3.3V logic levels.
